This Is Not What I Planned

As a student, you have plans and dreams for the future, and an unplanned pregnancy could alter these plans. First, know you are not alone, and let us help you work through your specific situation and answer your questions.

Don’t Panic Before You’re Sure

The most important thing you can do right now is to determine if you are really pregnant. Some symptoms commonly associated with pregnancy can be caused by other medical conditions.  If you have taken an at-home test and are still wondering if you are pregnant, Boston Center for Pregnancy Choices can offer you a free lab-quality pregnancy test.

Boston Center for Pregnancy Choices is not a medical clinic and always recommends consulting a physician for pregnancy diagnosis.

Many Pregnancies End In Miscarriage

If you do have a positive pregnancy test, you should know that nearly 20% of pregnancies end in natural miscarriage. An ultrasound will help determine if your pregnancy is viable and may detect a miscarriage if it is occurring or may soon take place. We may give a referral for a free limited ultrasound at one of our partner organizations.

Feeling Pressure?

You might be experiencing or anticipating pressure from others – or from yourself.  We encourage you to make an appointment to speak with one of our counselors. Your situation is unique and you’re not alone.

Is Abortion Your Next Step?

Every year, our center works with college and high school students in the Boston who are considering abortion as a solution to an unplanned pregnancy. We understand this is an important decision that will affect you deeply, no matter what you choose. Make an appointment today so you can be fully informed. We invite you to ask our counselors any questions you may have on abortion, adoption, or parenting so you can make the decision that is right for you.
